Creative or Remarkable?

HOLLA AT YOUR BOY!

HERE IS FRIDAY 9TH JUNE'S TOP 5. LET'S DO THIS...

1) Video of the week.

The X-ecutioners - It's Goin Down (featuring Linkin Park).

A classic that I moshed to many times in my youth (IT'S 15 YEARS OLD NOW!)

2) Track of the week.

S.Carey - Brassy Sun (flaked Season 2 Episode 1).

I heard this on Flaked this week (a great series on Netflix) and it's been in my head since, a really beautiful song that works so well on the show.

3) Quote of the week.

“I’m just confusing the thrill of being young with the notion that the era in which I was young was in any way especially creative or remarkable.” - Stewart Lee

4) Documentary of the week.

Song Exploder - The Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight

It's one of my favourite tracks of all time, and now you can hear it explained!

5) Gig of the week.

Summer Night Market

DJ Andy Skank will be providing the music, while you can eat and buy to your hearts content. A solid local project sure to be a good night.

Speak to you next Friday,

Josh

Rollins Vs. Mel & Sue.

Afternoon guys, here it is. Friday 23rd September's top five. It's my consolidated list of all things awesome this week. Feel free to share it around with whomever you think appropriate!

Here we go;

1) Video of the week;

Alina Baraz - Can I.

2) Track of the week;

Hundred Reasons - Stories with Unhappy Endings.

3) Quote of the week;

"To be fair, Rollins has pointed out that in a system that has removed most revenue for musicians, monetising your credibility is entirely legitimate." - Stewart Lee.

4) Article of the week;

In Mel and Sue, the true spirit of punk lives on - Stewart Lee

5) Gig of the week;

Staylittle Presents - Climbing Trees 'Amber' Single Launch Show at The Lab, Northampton | 24.09.16

One of the support acts  are friends of the studio and they are bloody good, can't reccomend them enough. I haven't heard the other acts, but it promises to be a solid line-up.

Speak to you Monday,

Josh
